Grade 3 - All about Canada

May 24

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend with family and friends. Even though this is another short week there will still be lots to do and learn. We will continue learning all the capital cities and begin a small group study on some of the provinces and territories in social studies. There will be an outline of the small group study in the homework sectiion later this week. Thee will aslso be a short quiz to see if students can match which capital city goes with which province at the end of the week.

In math, we are learning all about Candian currency and working to understand adding and subtracting money. Those that finish all the regular in class work will get the oppertunity to try a small bugeting activity.

Also due this week are the students convincing paragraphs where they need to come up with reasons on why they believe in God to convince others that God is real. I have been very impressed at many of the reason they have already come up with.
