Grade 3 - The last week (sniff, sniff)

Jun 13

The end is near, the light is at the end of the tunnel, you are on the home stretch toward the finish line! There are many ways to say that the last week of school is here. It is both a time of celebration and a little sadness for me as I look forward to seeing my class advance to Grade 4 but I know I will miss them. It has been a great year and I want to thank all of the students in my class for being a part of it. Thank you also to all the parents who have come in at different times to help, I know all of the elementary teachers here at King's are thankful to all the parents for your continued support.

Now for all the exciting things planned for this week.

Monday - Primary Canada Day - We will be celebrating the end of our social studies unit on Canada with the Grade 1 and 2 classes with an afternoon of different activities. Students are encouraged to dress up to fit with the Canadian theme. I don't want to give away any of the activities but it will be a fun time.

Tuesday - Waterslide day! Need I say more! A day of wet sliding excitement. Pray the weather is good.

Wednesday - Quiz show - I will quiz the students with questions that will cover all the different subjects over the course of the entire year. How much do you remember? There will be prizes and a chance for students to come up with their own questions.

Thursday - Celebration Chapel - this will be our last chapel of the year and all the parents are invited to join us. It will begin around 8:50am right after taking attendence in the chapel. Be prepared at the end of the day as many things will be sent home in order that the classroom can be cleaned for the last day.

Friday - Last day of school celebration. Feel free to bring treats and games as we celebrate the end of Grade 3 and the move to Grade 4. This is only a half day so parents be prepared for some excited students!

I have posted some pictures of the students masks, you can view them under the "masks" link on my profile page. Check them out!

Finally, report cards are coming soon! Just a note for all those students that need to finish assignments make sure you finish them this week! Thank you all for such a great year! For all of those Grade 2 parents that have been reading this blog, I look forward to meeting you and all the Grade 2 students next year.
